How to play
A little firefly, a forest full of light, and a snatcher out for a midnight snack. Find a safe way to the Moon Grove.
One light, one turn
Tap a clearing next to your firefly, or drag a trail through neighboring clearings. Move up, down, left, or right. The firefly follows your lights as you place them. You cannot cross the forest, move diagonally, or cross your own trail.
Each new clearing uses one glowstone. The starting tile and home are free. Reach the Moon Grove and your flight finishes automatically.
Watch the snatcher
A snatcher patrols a fixed loop. It advances one tile after every light you place or turn you wait. It does not advance while you think, hover, explore with the keyboard, or tap an invalid tile.
A purple dashed outline marks where it will land on your next turn. Avoid both its current tile and its next tile. It catches you if you enter its occupied tile or if it lands on you. It can cross lights behind you safely; only the tile your firefly currently occupies matters.
Choose Wait to stay still for a turn and let it pass. Waiting spends one glowstone. Weekly puzzles have two independent patrols; both advance one step on the same turn.
If caught, choose Undo. It restores the complete previous turn: your firefly, every snatcher, collected items, and stones. There is no penalty for undoing. Reset restores the puzzle's original state.
Bring some light home
Collect pollen and dew as you travel. Each item can only be collected once per flight, even if you wait on it. Every map contains a safe route home; bonus detours are optional.
Daily flight: 11 × 11 tiles, 24 glowstones, one snatcher, and 5 pollen blooms. Reaching home earns 100 points; pollen adds 14 and dew adds 8.
Weekly migration: 13 × 13 tiles, 36 glowstones, two snatchers, and 8 pollen blooms. Its longer route and two patrols are the harder challenge, with higher rewards: 200 points for home, 20 per pollen, and 12 per dew.
Both modes add 2 points per unused stone and subtract 1 point per turn, including waits. Being caught earns no score. When you finish, see the full breakdown and your personal best. Try a different route anytime; your best stays saved.
Every day, a new forest
Everyone gets the same date-generated daily map, changing automatically at 00:00 UTC. The weekly map changes each Monday at 00:00 UTC. The dates above the board show which flight you are playing.
Revisit daily flights from the past 30 days in the archive. Share a completed flight to send its date and score to a friend. Personal bests, settings, and unfinished turns stay in this browser.
Make yourself comfortable
The game board and controls fit the available screen. Focus board makes extra room by hiding the title. On phones, the four arrow buttons move your firefly directly when tiles feel small.
Settings let you show trail numbers, change dragging and move hints, reduce animation, or increase contrast. Snatcher warnings remain visible with move hints off.
Keyboard: Tab into the board, explore with arrow keys, and press Enter or Space to move to the focused tile. W waits; Backspace or Delete undoes. Home and End explore a row's edges. Tab leaves the board.
